2. How to rename a corp (or disband and start over)? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I created a corporation, but when I was doing so I was experimenting with different tenses of a word, and when I clicked for the final, I didn't see that the tenses didn't align properly and now I have an embarassing gaffe as my corp name (blush)!...

3. I suck at probing - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
A red circle means that two of your probes are covering the site, which is believed to be located somewhere along the surface of the plane defined by the circle, or perhaps on its circumference, I hear both theories. Shift-click to move your whole...

4. I suck at probing - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
You're using too many probes, to begin with. I've never needed more than 4 out to find any site. Have you read any of the guides? Like this one ? They should be able to answer a lot of your more practical questions. Finally, even when you have ...

5. Why does anyone use Core probes? - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
It's not because of CPU, I'm talking about the probes, not the launchers. Julien is right, it's in the other stats. Not only do Cores have 40 sensor strength vs. the Combat's 20, the Cores also scan down to .25AU vs. the Combat's .5AU. Never min...

6. Why does anyone use Core probes? - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
Core Probes: - Can only find cosmic signatures - Can only scan out to 32au Combat Probes: - Can find cosmic signatures, ships & probes - Can scan out to 65au Is there some other aspect to this that I'm missing?

7. Vista 32 or 64 bit? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Yes, I'm quite happy to report that not only EVE, but everything I installed is working happily with Vista x64. Thanks all for the advance heads up, don't think I would have tried it without that info.

8. Do Stealth Bombers really suck? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Thanks :) Yeah, hubbie and I been playing lot of MMOs for a long time, starting with UO Beta (now *that* was PvP). We were playing EQII when we started our EVE subscriptions back in July. We didn't know what we wanted to do, so we just maxed out ...

9. Vista 32 or 64 bit? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I already have Vista, I don't have to go buy it. I just didn't like it after I first installed it, and actually re-installed XP. I live in Redmond, Wa and have lot of friends who work at MS so I got copies of Vista Ultimate at the Company Store re...

Why do I get the feeling that a bunch of Goons read this thread and decided to swarm it with enticing comments designed to lure my noob ass into combat?

11. So do core launchers and probes basically only find wormholes? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Yes, Gravimetric sites are mining sites with roids that are usually a level or two above that which can be found in the belts of the system in which you found the site. So, for example, if you find a Gravimetric site in a .9 system, it wouldn't be...

12. Do Stealth Bombers really suck? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Ooo, hadn't considered the interceptor. I'll have to look at that class and see how it looks. Is there any other ship besides CovOps that uses the Covert Ops Cloak II?

13. Vista 32 or 64 bit? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Edited by: Kesha Cachet on 21/03/2009 20:00:54 Coming from EVE players, that's encouraging. I'll go with x64, then. I just learned that I do have an application that uses 64 bit, Premiere Pro CS4. So that kinda seals it. The system I've got ...

14. Vista 32 or 64 bit? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Thanks, I'm hearing mixed views on 64-bit generally, although most agree that EVE is working fine in 64 bit mode. I guess the question I should be asking now is whether there are any other reasons to go 64 bit, given that I have no applications th...

Wow, lots of *great* replies, thanks guys! I agree with the sentiment that I should fly what's fun and not some spreadsheet, but I also agree that losing ships isn't fun. Someone also made a good point that the SB is the only pvp ship I'm actuall...

17. Do Stealth Bombers really suck? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I'm primarily an Industrialist and Explorer. Before Apocrypha I scanned down Exploration sites with the old scanning system, so I trained up to fly a Covert Ops ship (Cheetah, I'm Minmatar). My husband is purely combat oriented and flies a Vagabon...
